1. GIFT-Cloud uploader application
    • The first stable version: GC-1.1.0, supports:
      • DICOM node functionality (e.g. push from a PACS)
      • import datasets from local storage
      • querying a PACS
    • Can now be built as a Java webstart application.
  2. GIFT-Cloud extension of XNAT
    • This version tagged as GC-1.2.0
    • Uploader applet disabled, and the GIFT-Cloud uploader added as a Java webstart application: simply download and run a JNLP file
  3. GIFT-Proto further development
    • The style of the user interface radically changed:
      • darker background
      • less prominent colouring when e.g. selecting components, pressing buttons
    • Started investigating GIFT-Proto’s integration with GIFT-Cloud
      • looking into the NifTK XNAT plugin code
      • initial connection to GIFT-Cloud goes fine, able to view datasets
  4. NiftyMIDAS feature integration discussions started
    • Guotai Wang’s MICCAI 2015 work comprises segmentations where the user provides strokes for foreground and background at the beginning of the workflow, and the rest of the workflow is non-interactive
    • NiftyMIDAS allows for manual segmentations, we want to adapt this feature for the stroke inputs for segmentation correction
    • An initial discussion held with Miklos Espak, the main developer of NiftyMIDAS. In addition to the above considerations, we also want to merge some useful features from NiftyMIDAS back into the main NifTK codebase.
