1. MedICSS summer school
    • Delivered a two-day hands-on session, where two state-of-the-art tracking technologies were introduced
    • The participants acquired data on a calibration phantom and performed data analysis with a focus on error assessment and propagation
    • As part of the preparation, a small Python codebase was formed that does all the required analysis on acquired tracking data
  2. GIFT-Cloud development
    • Investigated an issue that prevents QC images from being generated when anonymised patient data are uploaded on the server. Once this issue is resolved, researchers will be able to see snapshots of datasets, so that e.g. datasets can be graded according to quality, downloaded selectively, etc.
  3. GIFT-Nav development
    • Started collaborating with Pankaj Daga for enhancing the codebase for real-time placental mosaicking. This will form one of the core applications of the GIFT-Nav software platform for intra-operative guidance.
    • A mid-term vision is to open-source the core algorithmic part of the codebase as a compact library.
