Work on endoscopic laser speckle contrast imaging, to be submitted to MICCAI ’15
Feasibility study
Plan:
– Obtain data from flow phantoms and perfused ex vivo placentas
– Flow phantom: use constant flow rate, variable depth (1 mm increments), variable distance to endoscope tip, variable motion (using linear stage).
– Ex vivo placenta: identify small capillaries near surface, perfuse vessels at constant rate, simulate motion by moving endoscope tip
– Test different methods for computing speckle contrast statistics: spatial, temporal, and spatio-temporal
– Test different motion correction methods: registration to first frame vs. group-wise registration
– Write paper focussing on novelty of application
