1. Meeting with Gareth Askey (Diagnostic Radiographer/Imaging Systems Deputy Manager) at UCLH
    • David Atkinson participated in the meeting as well, as he has previous experience with data from UCLH
    • Discussed and identified possible ways of uploading data from UCLH PACS
    • Gareth could add a hook to the PACS viewer, so that our clinical fellow will have a “Transmit to GIFT-Cloud” option in the menu
  2. GIFT-Cloud extension of XNAT
    • Started implementing the core functionality required for the automated simultaneous upload of multiple datasets with subject recognition
    • Discussed about a unified security manager scheme for central authorisation
    • Started investigating possible ways of testing the units and the integration thereof

    • Initial investigation and planning
    • Reviewed the XNAT uploader applet, as well as the DicomCleaner codebases as part of the initial investigation
  4. Meeting with Dan Marcus
    • Dan Marcus leads the Neuroinformatics Research Group (NRG) at Washington University, which are the main developers of XNAT

    • Received generally very positive feedback from the representatives. In particular, they are interested in knowing what happens with patient data, e.g.
      • any further findings based on our novel methods ?
      • what impact those data has had on the management of those anomalies ?
  6. Approval for retrospective MRI data
    • We have approval from Dominic Heaney (Caldicott Guardian) and Michael Abtar (Information Governance) for a large number of retrospective MRI data
