1. GIFT-Nav
   1. Factored functionality related to real-time placental image mosaicking out into a self-contained software module called NiftyMatch. This module will hold GPU implementations of state-of-the-art methods for feature detection and image matching.
   2. Packed the BlackMagic driver for capturing fetoscopic video into a software module called BlackMagic SDK. This will ensure convergence in terms of software component versioning.
2. GIFT-Cloud
   1. Started investigating support for endoscopic video in depth.
   2. Also investigated user-interface related issues.
3. Continuous integration and test servers
   1. Acquired components for our continuous integration and test servers.
   2. Started setting up these. GIFT-Adelie will provide the Linux platform (Ubuntu), which GIFT-Gala Mac OS X.
   3. These servers will ensure that software components under development integrate seamlessly with each other, and in addition will help catch errors at an early stage.
