• GIFT-Nav Placental mosaicking application
    • Added thread-safe logger
    • Implemented a video framegrabber interfacing the Epiphan card
    • Further refactoring performed that will allow for an easy-to-test and easy-to-benchmark modular structure
  • Started an API library called GiftGrab that will support grabbing video frames from Epiphan, Blackmagic, etc. cards we have been integrating into our hardware
  • NiftyMatch
    • Added radial distortion correction, using a polynomial correction model which is currently in use in the state-of-the-art OpenCV implementation
    • Also implemented tests for this new feature and benchmarks for the real-time computing requirements
  • We have done great teamwork for demonstrating a first proof-of-concept of the GIFT-Nav placental mosaicking application in conjunction with a Kuka robot that acts as a stabiliser and also provides remote centre of motion (RMC).
