Test response.<\/li>\n<li>Hydrophone experiment led to investigation of achieving PDMS domes on 125 um and 200 um fibres. Range of PDMS:xylene concentrations explored to optimise dome heights. Characterisation using SEM and stereo microscopy. Further experimentation planned.<\/li>\n<li>Dip coat 300 um fibres in MWCNT-gel and PDMS for probe. Exploration into polishing cleaved fibre to promote adherence of PDMS (in progress).<\/li>\n<li>Dip coat fibre bundle into MWCNT-gel and PDMS<\/li>\n<li>Dip coat lense into MWCNT-gel and PDMS<\/li>\n<li>Coat needles and catheters with MWCNT-xylene and PDMS &#8211; photoacoustics<\/li>\n<li>Raman training<\/li>\n<li>Continuation of extensive investigation into range of carbon compounds \u2013 Recap: Oleylamine functionalised-pyrene ligand was used to functionalise a range of carbon compounds including: SWNTs (6,5), SWNTs (7,6), DWNTs, MWNTs, carbon black, carbon nanofibres, reduced graphene oxide, nanodiamond, mesoporous carbon. Both un-functionalised and functionalised compounds characterized using Raman spectroscopy. Next step \u2013 dip coating onto specially designed Perspex keys for a rigorous comparison of compounds used.<\/li>\n<li>Competition \u2013 research \u2018crowd-sourcing\u2019 for ultrasound generating coatings. A range of entries submitted, post-coated with PDMS.
