This gave GIFT-Surg the perfect opportunity to present their vision for the future of surgical planning and fetal surgery to experts from around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Sebastien Ourselin gave a keynote speech introducing the concept of surgical planning, using our teams work in the area of neurosurgery to illustrate the potential. He then presented GIFT-Surg\u2019s vision of the future within fetal surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Rosalind Pratt presented a Systematic Review of Fetal Image Reconstruction for Surgical Planning, demonstrating early evidence of benefit within the limited studies in the literature.<\/p>\n<p>Hina Lad presented her work on developing the Fetal Surgical Theatre of the Future.<\/p>\n<p>Feedback from the delegates was enthusiastic, with fetal surgeons excited to see how the technology develops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society (IFMSS) Annual Meeting and Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) World Congress where joined this year in Heronissos, Crete.
