The probes will be composed of optical fibres coated by a synthesis of biocompatible nanocomposite materials with magnetic functionality using innovative deposition methods.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucl.ac.uk\/ramsay-trust\">Ramsay Memorial Fellowships<\/a> were established as a memorial to Sir William Ramsey, and provide funding for postdoctoral researchers to undertake original and independent research in chemistry.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Dr Sacha Noimark, post-doctoral research associate for GIFT-Surg, who has been awarded the Ramsay Fellowship to develop new miniaturised ultrasound\/photoacoustic probes.
