University College Hospital opens it doors on Tue 28 June to showcase the latest research advances being made on site.
A special exhibition of research and innovation will see three floors of University College Hospital accommodate 50 interactive stalls where researchers will demonstrate the latest technology and techniques tackling conditions such as cancer, dementia and arthritis.
Patients and the public will have the chance to put on headphones and try a cochlear implant simulator; have a 3D scan of their face; find out their hand hygiene levels; extract DNA from strawberries in addition to many other activities. There will also be the opportunity to win an iPad mini and tour some of the trust’s state-of-the art facilities, bookable on the day.
